About Elliott

Elliott is a freelance film, television and video editor / artist based in Sydney and Buenos Aires. Over the past 15 years, he has worked on many documentaries, feature films and multi-screen video installations. Many of his projects have a social conscience and challenge conventional modes of storytelling.

Since graduating from UNSW with a BA in Media & Communication (Film Major), he has worked in film and TV production, before moving into the wonderful world of post-production, editing such Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art series 'Art+Soul' (2014, Ep 2)

In 2012, he edited the immersive feature full-dome film, 'Coral: Rekindling Venus' working with Artist / Director - Lynette Wallworth. The film was designed to immerse and nurture an emotional connection between a global audience and the planet’s endangered coral reefs. Premiering in 25 cities across the globe on the night of the Transit of Venus in June 2012, and was selected to screen as part of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival - New Frontiers Program and the World Economic Forum 2014, Tianjin, China. The film won the Domie Award in the Art Category at the 2012 DomeFest Awards. It was also nominated for the Innovation Award at the Sheffield Documentary Festival in 2013.

Many of Elliott’s projects have captured screen audiences in national and international film festivals. Coral Rekindling Venus’ was selected to screen at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. The Sydney 2015 Film Festival screened both Sherpa’ (Assembly Editor) and Footprints. ‘Servant or Slave’ premiered at the 2016 Melbourne International Film Festival and screened at Antenna Film Festival 2016 where ‘Servant or Slave’ won the 2016 Audience Award. The film was also nominated for 2017 AACTA Award for Best Documentary Television Program.

At the end of 2017, Elliott was honoured to be the winner of the Australian Screen Editors 2017 ‘Digistor Award for Best Editing in Open Content’ for The Glass Bedroom (Rowan's episode).

Elliott is currently producing the film 'Ciclo' about the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly.

Elliott coeditado 'Afghanistan: The Australian Story "(2013 Dir: Michael Hill), un documental pantalla multitáctil que abrió sus puertas en el Australian War Memorial, Canberra con la presencia del entonces primer ministro, Kevin Rudd, y el Gobernador General, Quentin Bryce Dame .

En 2015, dos películas que Elliott trabajó en fueron seleccionados para estrenar en el FESTIVAL DE CINE DE SYDNEY. Elliott trabajó como editor de la Asamblea sobre 'Sherpa' (2015 Dir. Jennifer Peedom) y como editor de la corta indígena, 'Huellas' (2015 Dir. Cornel Ozies).
